Terms of service
These terms govern your use of Prism. By using the site or buying a product, you accept these terms.
Last updated: 22 April 2026. Draft, pending legal review.
1. What Prism is
Prism is a cognitive profile assessment. It measures six cognitive domains and the Big Five personality factors via the IPIP-NEO-60 inventory, and assigns a Prism type from a set of sixteen with two personality variants per type. It is a product for self-insight and for helping teams see their own shape. It is not a clinical or diagnostic tool and it is not a substitute for professional advice.
2. Accounts
You can take the free portion of the assessment without an account. To save your profile, receive your full results, or purchase any paid product, you provide an email address. You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure. We send a magic link to sign you in.
3. Payment
Paid products are sold at the prices shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe. The core full profile is £29. Add-ons such as the Career Match Report (£14) and the 90-Day Development Plan (£49) are optional. Prism for Teams is £299 for ten seats. Prices are in British pounds and include any applicable VAT where required.
4. Refund policy
We offer a 7-day refund, no questions asked, on any paid product. To request a refund, email support@takeprism.com from the address tied to your purchase. Refunds are processed back to the original payment method within a reasonable window.
5. No clinical claims
Prism is not a clinical, medical, educational, or diagnostic assessment. It is not validated for hiring, selection, or placement decisions that trigger employment law obligations. We do not claim affiliation with any trademarked intelligence test or professional psychometric instrument. Do not use Prism to make decisions where a regulated assessment is required.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not scrape the site or the assessment.
- Do not automate taking of the test.
- Do not share or resell the items, the scoring, or the Prism content.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer the scoring engine or the item bank.
- Do not use the service to harass, defraud, or harm other users.
7. Intellectual property
Prism, including the item bank, the 16 Prism types, the scoring logic, the domain definitions, and all site copy and visual design, is the property of Prism. You retain ownership of your own responses and of any notes or content you create. By using the service you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process your responses for the purpose of delivering your results and operating the service.
8. Dispute resolution
If we cannot resolve a dispute through direct support, the parties agree to binding arbitration in England. Arbitration will be conducted in English. This clause does not prevent you from pursuing remedies granted to you by applicable consumer law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Prism’s total liability to you under these terms is capped at the amount you have paid to us in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We do not exclude liability for fraud, personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any stronger local consumer rights that apply to you.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a revised date. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.
